별거 아닌 팔찌처럼 보여도
별거 많이 했습니다.
안녕하세요 SAD STAR입니다.
첫 제품이라 생각보다 오래 걸렸습니다.
별거 아닌 팔찌처럼 보이는데 별거 많이 했습니다.
일단 가죽부터 말씀드리자면
부드럽고 조직감이 잘 보이는 브레이디드 나파 레더를 사용했습니다.
처음에는 더 두꺼운 것도 봤는데
손목에 차니까 너무 힘줘보여서 안 했습니다.
너무 얇은 건 더 별로였습니다.
지금 정도가 제일 괜찮았습니다.
아실 분은 아시겠지만 가죽 자체가 고급이라
형태가 흐물거리는 걸 막기 위해 안쪽에 코어가 들어가 있습니다.
그래서 손으로 만지면 부드러운데
손목에 감았을 때 모양은 꽤 잘 잡힙니다.
계속 차고 다니면 처음보다 조금 부드러워집니다.
가죽이니까 당연합니다.
그리고 천연가죽이라 제품마다 결이 살짝 달라요.
가운데 은색으로 생긴 것도 대충 만든 건 아닙니다.
925 Sterling Silver로 제작했습니다.
(명품브랜드들은 대부분 황동(브라스) 쓰더라고요)
처음 만든 건 너무 얇았고
그 다음 건 너무 두꺼웠습니다.
몇 번 수정해서 지금 두께로 정했습니다.
가죽보다 장식이 너무 튀는 것도 싫었고
반대로 묻히는 것도 싫었습니다.
차보면 이유가 있습니다.
피부에 직접 닿는 제품이라
실버 파츠에는 알레르기 발생 가능성을 줄이기 위한 보호 코팅도 적용했습니다.

그래도 모든 사람에게 알레르기가 절대 안 생긴다는 뜻은 아닙니다.
의사도 모르는 거라 그건 저희도 장담 못합니다.

Our first product took longer than we thought.
It looks like a simple bracelet, but we did a lot to it.
First, the leather.
We used braided nappa leather that is soft and shows its texture clearly.
We looked at thicker leather first,
but on the wrist it looked like it was trying too hard.
Too thin was even worse.
This thickness looked best.
If you know, you know: the leather itself is high-grade,
so there is a core inside to stop the shape from going limp.
It feels soft in your hand,
but holds its shape pretty well around the wrist.
Wear it continuously and it gets a little softer.
It is leather. Of course it does.
And because it is natural leather, the grain varies slightly from piece to piece.
We did not phone in the silver-colored part in the middle either.
It is made from 925 Sterling Silver.
(Most luxury brands use brass, apparently.)
The first one was too thin.
The next one was too thick.
After a few revisions, we settled on this thickness.
We did not want the hardware to overpower the leather.
We did not want it to disappear either.
Put it on and you will see why.
Because it touches the skin directly,
we applied a protective coating to the silver parts to reduce the chance of an allergic reaction.
(THIS IS THE FUCKING GOOD PART.)
That still does not mean absolutely everyone is guaranteed to be allergy-free.
Doctors cannot know for sure, so neither can we.
